The Super Eco Machine Research Team UM (SEMERU TEAM) is an energy-efficient vehicle development team from Malang State University, established in 2015. To support research, sustainable innovation, and efforts to create a more environmentally friendly nation, the SEMERU Team focuses on developing fuel-efficient vehicle technology that competes in various intercollegiate competitions both domestically and internationally.
As a platform for student development, SEMERU Team integrates various disciplines into the research, design, and manufacturing processes of vehicles. Body Design & Manufacture
Body Design and Manufacture Division focuses on designing and producing vehicle bodies, emphasizing aerodynamics, lightweight structures, and strength to minimize air resistance and improve overall efficiency.
Chassis
Chassis Division designs and develops the vehicle’s main frame, ensuring a strong yet lightweight structure that supports all systems while maintaining stability and safety.
Engine
Engine Division develops and optimizes engines to enhance combustion efficiency and performance, especially with alternative fuels, through testing and refinement to achieve minimal energy use with optimal output.
Powertrain System
Powertrain System Division manages power delivery from the engine to the wheels, focusing on efficient energy transfer and minimizing power loss.
Steering and Break System
